Should You Be Allowed To Record The Police In Public?

As much as our current surveillance state troubles me (there are cameras everywhere and people carry them everywhere).  Once should be able to record public acts in public and I can’t see the legitimate government interest in preventing the recording of police.  The police vehicles all have cameras on them (they’re fixed in place), and microphones.  There are plenty of times where recordings make it clear what was said or done when there is a dispute over it.  Not sure if the Arizonia law will stay in place.
