An interesting article and background on how far the States can go when deciding they don’t want to enforce or be controlled by federal law.  The obvious examples currently are the legalization of marijuana, the so called sanctuary cities for immigration, some of the refusal to enforce federal gun laws.  It goes all the way back to the Alien and Sedition laws in the 1700s that the States took issue with.
