New 5th Circuit Limits the Searches of Cell Phones

From the Volokh “Here’s a fascinating new Fourth Amendment case from the Fifth Circuit, United States v. Morton, that sharply limits cell phone searches.  According to the court, warrants must establish probable cause separately for each “category” of information in the phone in order to search it.”
